The CHILDReN NEED Mattresses
In Dharamsala alone, there are 2,200 children living in 43 homes with 25-39 children in a home. Many children sleep on old scratchy burlap mattresses, stuffed with flattened coconut fiber that offers little insulation during the very cold winters.
With funds donated by individuals in the United States, the Foundation began buying new mattresses in India for the children's homes in the Dharamsala village several years ago.
To date, we have bought mattresses for 19 homes.
