Pen Pals
The pen pal project began with 10 American/Tibetan pairs in February 2007. That number has grown to 24 with 8 of the original ones still partnered. Foundation Director Nancy Corliss would carry the letters, photos, and sometimes small gifts back and forth across the world twice a year. The value and potential of this kind of global bridge is priceless.
On one trip Nancy took pen pal letters from a first grade class in Kansas, taught
by the daughter of a friend. The class wanted to continue to write and also to
help. They collected 60 pairs of socks among other things to send to TCV. We also now have a new batch of pen pals from Warrensburg.
