A non-profit foundation providing support and connections for the Tibetan Refugee Children in India
Before the Foundation was established, Director Nancy Corliss provided money to buy new cushions for the benches the children use in two homes. Funds to purchase a rug and cushions for the assembly hall and library were also provided. The solar heating system for Home 34 was repaired to provide warm water in the winter. It is very cold in December, January, and February.
We exchanged art with the World Awareness Children’s Museum in Glens Falls, New York, bringing a total of 150 pieces of art by the Tibetan children to the US, and returning with the same number of drawings by American children. Certificates of participation were given to the Tibetan children in school assemblies.
